Darren Poyzer

Darren is an experienced professional singer, songwriter and music leader, known locally for his work with Stockport (youth) Music Project, dementia friendly singing groups and currently, as admin central for Spotlight On Reddish.

As a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, he started writing and performing in the late 1980’s surrounded by peers with great ability and sense of community. Together he says "we found our niche as creative artistes" and those he performed alongside included: Steve Coogan, Lemn Sissay, John Bramwell (I Am Kloot), John Cooper Clarke, Henry Normal, Caroline Aherne, John Thomson, and Kevin Fegan to name a few.
